About PME Inc

Police Motorcycle Escort is a community service, founded January 1st 1980. The unit was established by 3 regular deputies (Dennis Thomas, Michael (Ferguson) Severence, & Robert Gillespie) and  3 auxiliary Deputies (Benson Michael Brumfield Sr., Robert Hylton, Joseph Curmode) all from the Franklin County Sheriff's Office. Of the founding members only Dennis Thomas remains active.

Equipment

The company primarily uses stock Honda Goldwing motorcycles. Our fleet currently consists of 4 2003 GL1800s, a 2005 Harley Road King Police,. Additionally, some escorts use their own motorcycles, which include a 2001 BMW R1100RTP, and a 1985 BMW K100RTP, both retired from the California Highway Patrol.

The motors are stock with the exception of warning lights and airhorns. Most of our warning equipment comes from Whelen Engineering and 911 Emergency Products. Our local Whelen distributor is Boundtree Medical.
